Richa and Khushil are both born and raised in Dubai. They were both part of a Bollywood Dance troupe and would meet on weekends. When the troupe dissolved, they remained in touch on and off. After a couple of months of texting and calls, they decided to go on a date and thereafter there was no looking back. After four years of togetherness , the couple decided to get married and chose Mumbai as the destination for their wedding. Their two day event started with the Dudh Pilani function which is a Sindhi custom where the bride’s mother feeds milk to the groom. Khushil (being a Gujarati) had a great time experiencing these novel rituals. The Sangeet was a night of roaring fun and laughter with lively dance performances, garba, skits performed by the couple’s friends, speeches and songs and even a flash mob.
The wedding day kicked off with a vibrant and exuberant baraat where the groom had as much fun as the baraatis. The wedding ceremony was held in a gorgeous floral outdoor mandap that Richa had specially got designed with the help of the decor team. The mandap was adorned with orange and white marigold flowers with golden bells and kaleeres hanging from the ceiling. Their sunset wedding was a beautiful display of contrasts and colours. As a couple, Richa and Khushil are a riot together – warm, friendly, full of fun and easy laughs. They were easy to work with and we had a memorable time covering their Gujarati-Sindhi wedding.
