Some clients and some weddings exude so much warmth that the event is special not only for the clients but becomes so even for us. Nidhi and Mrinal’s Mumbai wedding was one such event. Nidhi being a Punjabi and Mrinal a Bengali, in essence it was a multi-cultural wedding. But the easy blend of the two cultures was metaphorically like sugar in milk. Their two day event started with a small welcome for the guests which flowed into an engagement ceremony. The first day had an easy going vibe without any overpowering focus on too many rituals. It was akin to a family get-together with easy smiles, conversations, joy and happy tears all around.

The wedding day kicked off with a fun and vibrant haldi where the couple enjoyed the rituals with each other and also their families. The wedding ceremony started with traditional Bengali rituals and ended with a Punjabi kalire ritual. Nidhi had fun jangling her kalire on the heads of her unmarried cousins and friends .

As a couple, Nidhi and Mrinal redefine the term ‘chilled’. Not only did we enjoy working with these two but they were also every portrait photographer’s dream couple. They had planned such a intimate and easy-going event that they had so much time that they could give to the team to experiment and take creative portraits. We truly had a memorable time covering their intimate and unique Punjabi-Bengali wedding.
