Neha and Ruchik, or as we fondly call them, ChikNeh, are an adorable couple hailing from Dubai. Their journey began on an online dating app, where they discovered a shared passion for tattoos. Initially friends, their relationship blossomed into romance a few months later. As they embarked on their wedding journey, they had already spent more than half a decade together, sharing a home in Dubai with their beloved fur babies. The wedding itself was a significant milestone, formalizing their bond. Their destination wedding in Sri Lanka exuded intimacy, with an exclusive guest list of 70 of their close friends and family members.

Sri Lanka held a special place in Neha’s heart, often being her preferred destination for quick getaways and escapades. Naturally, it became the perfect choice for her wedding! The wedding festivities spanned four delightful days, with a single event scheduled per day, allowing guests ample time to relax, mingle, and fully immerse themselves in the day’s celebrations. The leisurely and laid-back pace of the wedding harmonized effortlessly with the serene vibes of Sri Lanka. The Mehndi carnival kicked off the celebrations, where everyone gathered to apply henna, partake in games, and enjoy the traditional Kandyan dance form of Sri Lanka. The Sangeet followed the day after, featuring spectacular choreographed performances by the couple and their friends, culminating in crazy after-party.

The third day of celebrations began with a Sundowner party by the beach. The atmosphere of this enchanting evening was heightened by the presence of a local rock band that graced the evening with their captivating performances. It was an unforgettable night full of outstanding music! After three wonderful days spent in celebrations and in the company of good friends, the wedding day arrived. ChikNeh exchanged vows with two wedding ceremonies. An austere Nikaah ceremony was held mid-morning to honor Neha’s Muslim heritage and was followed by a Hindu wedding at sunset by the beach. The wedding day concluded with a sit-down Reception dinner, accompanied by heartfelt speeches from a select few guests.

Throughout the wedding, ChikNeh radiated relaxation, basking in the company of their loved ones. Their celebration embraced simplicity, embodying traditional elements with modest fanfare. It was a joyous testament to love, friendship, familial bonds, and togetherness. The couple had a clear vision for their wedding and entrusted us to candidly capture the important moments while enjoying the festivities to the fullest. Ruchik’s love for the camera provided us with numerous opportunities for stunning portraits, while Neha, somewhat camera-shy, gracefully agreed to pose for a few. They prioritized creating a relaxed environment, allowing everyone to relish in the celebration of their beautiful union. This unique wedding will be etched in our hearts forever, we were made just to feel like family
