Dubai based Bindita and Wanchoo planned a two day destination wedding in Goa at the Zuri White Sands Resort. Their is a story of how destiny works in mysterious ways. They both studied at the same university in England but at different times. Bindita started working in London after university whereas Wanchoo had moved back to Dubai after finishing his studies. They happened to connect through the careers team at their university as Wanchoo worked in recruitment in Dubai and Bindita wanted to move to Dubai and was looking for opportunities in the recruitment space. She eventually moved to Dubai and ended up working alongside him in the same team and that’s how their story began.
After dating for 3 years, on a trip to Goa, Wanchoo surprised Bindita with a proposal. Then started their wedding planning. Bindita has Bengali roots and Wanchoo is a Kashmiri Pandit, they both wanted to have celebrations which gave space to both sides of the family to come together and enjoy themselves. They kicked off the event with a Mehndi party followed by Sangeet & Cocktails – both events allowing guests to let their hair down and have a blast. The second day started off with a fun haldi and phoolon-ki-holi where the couple as well as guests enjoyed their hearts out. The evening pheras by the beach was a solemn affair with a combination of Bengali and Kashmiri rituals.
