Bhakti and Lakshay both grew up in Dubai. Dubai has a large Indian diaspora and as destiny would have it, these two bumped into each other. A romance soon followed and here they are! The couple chose Sri Lanka as the destination for their wedding as they wanted a place with a laid-back vibe. Their wedding had a tropical laid-back feel and everyone had a blast through the three days of celebrations.

The mehndi was a pool-side event where the bride entered with her cute niece and the groom made a smashing entry while playing a bongo. Since it was quite a hot day, the youngsters decided to turn the mehendi into a pool-party. One by one everyone jumped in to get some relief from the tropical heat and they all ended up having a blast. We too had a blast capturing them! The sangeet started with a ring ceremony, followed by stunning performances and turned into a party that went on till the wee hours of morning. The outdoor wedding the next day started with the groom’s baraat for which he arrived on a cycle rickshaw while the bride entered under a very tropical looking phoolon-ki-chaddar. The couple tied the knot under the stars in a traditional Sindhi ceremony. The closing event was a classy black-tie reception which turned into an impromptu karaoke and DJ night.
