‘Marriages are made in heaven’ is an adage that has become redundant in current times. Working with this couple, made us believe that this line still holds true for some couples. Akanksha and Saransh both hail from business families and their match was arranged by their parents. When they met, the couple realized that despite being raised in different cities, their values, cultures, belief systems and family foundations were quite similar. Instinctively, Akanksha knew that this was the right match for her. She knew that she and Saransh belonged together. Akanksha and Saransh are two people with completely different personalities but somehow they fit together perfectly.

Akanksha had always dreamt of a royal big fat Indian wedding. When she and Saransh got engaged, they had decided to get married in Rajasthan. With the pandemic hitting Rajasthan in a major way, their families decided to postpone the wedding till things settle. Eventually, they realized that the pandemic was here to stay and decided to host their wedding amidst the mountains of Rishikesh with a smaller guest list and taking as many precautions as possible. To give a royal Rajasthani vibe to their wedding celebrations, the couple chose to do their pre-wedding shoot at Jaisalmer. Their two day wedding at Rishikesh started a Mehndi-cum-Carnival and a Tikka-Sangeet ceremony on the first day. They had the Haldi ceremony and a late evening wedding on the second day.

We loved capturing this beautiful wedding held on the banks of the Ganges amidst the verdant mountains of Garhwal. The property itself was stunning and provided us with a lot of photo-ops but the best part was shooting in the lovely mellow sunlight in chilly sweater weather.
